UFCC raises $1 million!
Our 2014 UF Campaign for Charities has come to an end, and it was a huge success! We raised over $1,000,000 for the 10th year in a row thanks to the generous donations of UF employees.
This money will help our 95 agencies serve cats, dogs, kids, seniors, and other members of our community. Their programs focus on important social issues like medical care, education, feeding the hungry and adopting pets.
We began our general campaign in October with a kickoff breakfast event featuring agency booths and lots of door prizes. It was a great opportunity to thank our campaign volunteers and to connect them with our agencies.
We also had some fantastic special events this year that were super creative and fun. They helped raise money and awareness about the campaign all over campus. Some highlights include:
- Planning, Design, and Construction department’s Cornhole Tournament
- Office of the CFO’s Tug of War and Tricycle Race
- PPD’s Cookout
- HPNP’s Field Day
- UAA’s Silent Auction
- IFAS’s Garage Sale.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to all our campaign volunteers and our wonderful agencies for participating. And thanks a million to all of our donors!
